          ระบบยกรถไฟแบบติดตั้งใต้พื้น ถูกออกแบบเพื่อสำหรับการยกรถไฟขึ้น และลง สำหรับการซ่อมบำรุงรถไฟ และการเปลี่ยนชุดล้อ, แคร่ และอุปกรณ์อื่นๆ โดยระบบการยก และอุปกรณ์รองรับตัวรถ ถูกออกแบบเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของลูกค้า ซึ่งระดับหรือตำแหน่งแรกเริ่มการยกของอุปกรณ์ยกรถไฟแบบติดตั้งใต้พื้นจะอยู่ที่ระดับ “ศูนย์” ระดับเดียวกับระดับราง ซึ่งจะทำให้อุปกรณ์ยกไม่กีดขวางการทำงานของอุปกรณ์อื่นๆ เพื่อให้อุปกรณ์อื่นสามารถทำงาน หรือวิ่งผ่านที่ระดับความสูง “ศูนย์” หรือระดับการทำงานหลัก
